WBW: A Week of Gratitude
Friends, hello! Happy Thanksgiving Week 🦃 This year we have a feast planned (that could easily feed 12) for my little party of 3 and I am excited to create my very own special menu (plus the turkey my roommate will be cooking, whom we have named Bruce).
Listen, I must admit, I do not like traditional Thanksgiving food. I know, I know. But in my defense, I do not eat meat, and I have a texture thing, I just don't like mushy food. Or green beans for that matter, either. Believe me, I've tried it all, it's just not for me, that and breakfast food.
So on the menu this year: mushroom + wild rice stuffed acorn squash, Amish dinner rolls, a fancy cheese board, Brussels sprouts with pickled shallots + labneh cheese and, of course (of course) a signature cocktail: A Rosemary Gin Gimlet. And I'm making my roommate dress up, because seriously, when was the last time you've gotten to dress up? February, maybe? I honestly can't even remember. This alone is a reason to be thankful, but I have an endless list other reasons, too.
Below, I have 2 offerings for you this week! First, a gratitude challenge (+ worksheet) and a simple yoga sequence dedicated to your turkey.

This week, I challenge you to write down 1 - 3 things you are thankful for each day. You can use this convenient worksheet I made for you. Do a "control click" if you have a Mac, save as... then print and hang on your fridge. Here is some inspiration beyond a simple list:
- A fun experience I had today ... - Something I am proud of ...
- Someone I can always rely on ... - Someone I enjoy being with ...
- An act of kindness I saw ... - A reason to be excited about the future ...
Finally: have you ever thought child's pose looks like a turkey? Maybe just a little bit? I have a very simple sequence all from child's pose for you for when you're waiting for the turkey to cook (I have literally no idea how long that takes, but I imagine longer than this sequence) or you need a little holiday de-stressor. Enjoy!
